Finally Got My New Ride!

After waiting a month, I finally picked up my new Mazda 3 GS last night! I wanted a manual transmission with the moonroof package in stormy blue & that was hard to find so they had to order it.

I traded in my Civic for this one after test driving a Matrix, Corolla and even an Altima (even rented an Altima for a week) but I love how the 3 handles and I love that it has independent rear suspension and discs all around.

I lurked on here for a month but didn't want to post until I got the car in fear that I'd jinx it! :)

What do you know I am waiting for exactly the same trim and options except the color for mine will be metropolitan grey.

I hope you get yours soon! I think the metropolitan grey is probably one of those colours that is harder to get and it seems like no one drives manual anymore! There were lots of automatics on the lot but only one manual which everyone drove to test!

Well, the good thing is they told me when they say they are "on the rails" it is usually about 10 days (which I found true) so hopefully you'll have it soon. It seems fewer and fewer are getting manual....even a couple years ago I had no problem getting a manual where it was a challenge for me to find a manual to test drive this time around!

For the part of manual vs. automatic, very true. I remember there was always lots of manual's available to buy right off the lot. Now, it seems harder because people will take the manual to save that couple extra thousand, and most cars get better mileage with the manual, plus its sportier.
I noticed around town in Windsor a lot more people are driving manual's than ever.

Thanks everyone! I'm really liking how well the car handles & how comfortable the seating position is. The big reason I chose this car is for the seating position - it fits me like a glove!

Now I just need to get some winter rims for my tires. I almost got my winter tires on tonight but turns out the centre hole didn't fit. :( Doh! These were the rims from my old car. Hopefully I find some soon.
