Telus Samsung Instinct? Bell Instinct?

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with Telus Instinct..
I just found out I can get the plan I have right now for much cheaper with renewed contract.
And they offered a promotion on Samsung instinct..

I know Telus gimps all of the phones they offer, features are disabled and stuff..
The worst is, I guess, that they disable the custom ringtones..
My current phone, motorola k1m Krzr, I can hack the crap out of it to make it do whatever I want it to do..
I did find a complicated hack guide to actually get custom ringtones on Instinct..

So has anyone had any experience with this phone?
It has a generally negative reviews from users with Telus carrier..

I have no experience, but from my friends who have this phone (with Bell and Telus), they hate it. They wish death upon it, lol.
