DRL on 05 GT hatch

how hard would it be to make it like the 07's and have the high beams as the DRL?

I plan on putting HIDs in later. Or can I jsut disable the DRLs altogether? which is also an option.

and if i disable the DRLs or re-wire to the highbeam, would i still need that relay for the HIDs?

I think McGuyver tried or did this. The only issue is that when you DRL's are on your high beam indicator on the gage goes on.

so i guess the better way would be to disable the DRL altogether. which I dont mind, so thats just pulling the fuse right?

Not on an 05 - no fuse for DRL. That appeared on 07s.

You need the DRL bypass harness, basically you draw power from the parking lights instead of from the low beam sockets.

If I were to do it again, I'd do the high beam as DRL mod. I'm thinking about wiring it up over the winter.

You need to search, this has been well covered and an on going mod for you to have HIDs installed on an 05-

yea, i forgot which section I was in.. plus its somewhat electrical too.. and I figure that section was more about LEDs/HIDs etc.
