I plan to store my car this winter and I was wondering if anybody is doing the same using a winter cover. My garage is pretty tight and I wanna protect it from dings and scratches. Is it ok to put a soft blanket over the car + the car cover OR this would damage the paint during winter period?

If you're going to cover it, I'd get a proper cover rather than using blankets and stuff. A proper cover will breathe better and not get damp and moldy, and it won't encourage mice to shred it into a nest.

Incidentally, I just use dust to cover mine... :chuckle

When i had my blue truck i used to cover it with a proper cover during the winter months...With a proper cover the paint will breathe.

Spend the money now but it will last you many years...I paid $150 for mine and 8 years later i still have it...and the first few years i used to store my truck out side under my parents patio....so spend the money get a good one and it will last you years:)

Now THAT is a nice fitting cover!! Wish I had one that nice for my Mustang, I have to take the damn antenna off! lol

I'd reccomend, as mentioned here, paying that extra for a good cover. You may not notice how well it protects, but if you buy a cheap one, you WILL notice how well it doesn't protect!

How much are you selling it for? I have always thought of covering a clients car with the cover in the garage until they come to pick it up. It's like a grand unveiling if you will LOL.
