Hey everyone! I just wanted to share something, and if anyone saw or heard anything please let the police know! My friend was scarce on the details, but thank God he's alive.

A good friend of mine was driving with a passenger in Scarborough the other night. He got rear ended while he was going south bound. After hitting my friend's car, the culprit sped off. My friend's car then swerved into the northbound lane and was rear ended a second time.

Once again, thank God he's alive. If anyone knows anything please help out and get the dangerous driver who caused this off the road!

does he know what kind of a car it was? and by looking at the damage, the other car that hit and ran should have an engine damage or something..must have been an SUV to ran after that kind of a damage

He said it happened so fast, in a split second, they couldn't see anything.

But I agree, it should have let some noticeable damage on the culprit. So yes, if you guys and gals notice any roughed up cars on the road, it could be that car.

I doubt its an SUV as the damage is mostly from the bottom and if a high SUV have hit it, the trunk would've been damaged as well.

Thats what Im thinking too, but doesnt make sence if a sedan hit it and would still be able to drive off. Wouldnt it not start or something?

it depends. Maybe an old american car? those domestics are rock solid and can easily kill one of those civics.

Another one could be a mini van like the 1997 caravans with plastic bumpers. Those bumpers are pretty low

The bigger damage must have been caused when it was rear ended the second time when it swerved on the opposite lane.

I'm shocked nobody chased that car down..Pathetic..It is your civic duty to stop these animals from fleeing the scenes of accidents.
Nothing more despicable than this..
I hope your friend finds out who did this.

Off topic but I recently had a friend(Girl) witness a bank robbery, after the dude ran by dozens of people my friend chased him for several blocks while talking to the police on a cell, he ran into a graveyard and hid.
She waited for the cops and they picked him up.He apparently had robbed other banks and they were thankful for the help.
Maybe it was dumb, but I think that it was a very admirable and brave thing to do. I hope everybody steps up when something like this occurs.

We all have two choices in this world, to take action, or to walk away. Sometimes one is harder then the other. Sometimes we may know what the right thing is but do nothing. Protecting the weak may be one of the greatest values we choose to possess. This single value says so much about an individual and their virtues of integrity, character and humility.

Your friend is very lucky.
Interesting, how much fuel he had?
Was it diesel or gas?

yeah from the looks of it he was hit by something low so i agree with everyone when they say its probably not an SUV. on the other hand the car DID get hit twice which could have changed the final outcome. in any case glad everyone's ok and if that driver has an accident like this then he'll surely have one again and hopefully be caught the 2nd time.

yes there is... just not in canada http://www.stevelarkins.freeuk.com/honda_civic_review.htm however whats interesting is that the rear glass didnt break. and for the most part the back seat looks untouched. lucky there was noone in the back seat or someone would have be injured for sure!
