I got stopped last night of all places it was on a hill.
I thought he was ready to kiss me he was like an inch away from my face :chuckle
When I drove away I had to give a little gas because of the steep incline and one of the cops was like 'whoaaaaaaaaaa' because of my loud exhaust :complain

Yup same here got stopped lastnight on Lakeshore but they were doing there random checks...I think they shouldn't promote it and just step up at random areas and see if they can catch anyone. I don't see them around that often.

Busted at RIDE

CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Nov. 14 at about 12:05pm county OPP officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere spot-check on County Road 29 at the Eramosa-Garafraxa Townline.

At that time police stopped a Honda and while speaking with the young driver, the officer located a small quantity of marijuana.

Police have charged a 17-year-old Rockwood boy with possession of marijuana under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The youth is set to appear in Guelph court Jan. 14.

I went thru 2 Ride-Checks last-night and damn they just stopped the guy in front of me and let me go by! ...Dark car, dark tints, stereo blasting etc, etc; ...Piss me off, I want one of those coupon books!!

I've been through several RIDES, and only one time got stopped, said I had nothing (really had ONE beer) like....3 hours before I drove, alas the cop didn't believe me...

In the end... 12hr suspension :( That was a while ago

No just 12 Hr suspension...got a friend to drive me home..cop did say that my insurance would be affected, though he was just scaring me.

On topic though, RIDE doesn't scare me as I'm a G2 and I won't be driving with any alcohol in my system as per my restriction.

Honestly, I know ppl dont like them being there, but they do make a difference, it's amazing how many ppl they catch under the influence and charge them or suspend licenses every year.

I used to work at a funeral home for a bit, you dont want to know the devestation caused by drinking and driving. Yet there are people out there who still dont get the picture. So thats why I say its good that they are out there.

If you only had 1 beer, what was the 12 hour suspension for? The 12 hour is for blowing .06-.08.. and one beer won't do that.

Well, I had to take the test twice, first time the machine screwed up, second time the cop had to go and talk to another one. ( I bet they didn't meet their quota so they nailed me)

That was the last time I had a drink and drove home. Even though I have my G, when I go out to a bar and I drive, i dont drink.

That's because you're smart. Your life is just not worth putting at risk for to get behind the wheel. Even one glass of beer/wine impairs you enough that it is the same as driving with less than 4 hours of sleep. I was taught that in Nursing school.
