Can't Renew Licence Plate Sticker Due to 407 Fees

Like many in Ontario, my vehicle (2004 Mazda) is essential for my job. I would use public transport otherwise.

I went to the MTO to renew my license plate sticker but was refused due to outstanding 407 fees.

The economic crisis has been especially devastating to my business so the 407 fees cannot be paid for now.

Is there any way I can renew my license plate sticker without paying the 407 charges? Even temporarily?

I would suggest reading this (http://www.407etr.com/Products/platedenial.htm). It's from the 407etr website and explains the procedures. There is something called the 'Exceptional Hardship Plan' that you might be able to apply for.
