just a little rant :complain...with the CDN $ the way it's been, I've been finding it real hard to pull the trigger on goods from the US...it was just in the summer when we were at par and all is rosy...now I find myself jumping thru hoops to find ways to save some $ on US orders, but still never getting to the point where I feel I'm getting a deal...for example:
$110USD for one of the 3 engine mounts, free shipping to US, turns into $123USD shipped to Canada, which is decent...but given the exchange, that's like $160+ CDN...:flaming
the live.com cashback deals were good for 25%, but that's been reduced to 8%...of course, I try to source locally, but since most parts come from the US, there's not much of a deal to have either...
I find that this may be the best motivation save some $$$ for other things...:)
I hear you brah..
As for the ETD it will be close to 300 canadian..

I hear you dude. When I was huge into modding w/ my last car 3-4 years back, I was buying from the US at an average of 0.65-0.70 USD.

I've got some parts in stock that were bought when the $ was better. I'm gonna post a thread tonight with a list.

i found a set of 16" BBS RS's for sale in new york, for $1000
(not a bad price for rs's, ive seen powdercoated 17's go for $2500)
and i was telling the guy i'd drive down a pic them up, and all that, until i forgot the excange rate isnt on par anymore...
so that $1000, turned into $1300... UGH!!!

So its a good thing that i did most of my modding earlier this year then? lol. Finally, an excuse to cover up how i spent so much money on my car in such a small amount of time. YAY lol
Well everything is going up. Look at the garage16 for example, the exhausts have gone up in price compared to what i paid earlier.

on the way to work today, some very intriguing economic news and the CDN$ is up to $0.81 today against the USD...I wonder how sensitive paypal and credit card companies are to exchange rates...

Not so much. Especially after they take out their exchange fees.
