So I'm using some seats from what I believe is a 2006 Mazda 3 GT sport for My Corvair project. I'm working on the interior portion and while installing these seats as a replacement to my ratty old bench, I noticed these:

I doubt it's anything as nice as heated seats, but I was just wondering what it was?

For those interested here's the car they're going into:

replaced the entire floor and rear seat section, re-sealed the motor, new gas tank, gas lines, rims, tires, lowering suspension...etc

Thanks for any help!!

Could be heated seats....

But the seats also have weight and seat position sensors that the 3 uses to determine whether to deploy airbags and to know when to complain about the seatbelt not being done up. Also:some 3's have airbags built into the the outside edge of the seatback. There should be a tag stitched into the seam indicating as much. So if you are hoping for seat warmers are try pushing some current into the connector to check... you might set off the airbag.

SWS03-002
Seat Weight Sensor control module. Tells the controller if someone/something is on the seat.
