Markham Mazda called and said there is 2 safety recalls for the dock lock and auto transmission oil pipe, booked and changing on Saturday. I have an 05 hatch I didn't ask if it affects sedan's or other years.

Old old news. This was a huge thing last year, but its an easy (free) fix.

Had both of these done @ MoT last year.

We've done close to 500+ cars already.

Yeah its only for sedans! too bad you own a hatch, you have to pay for that fix.

Whats a dock lock ? and auto transmission oil pipe ? so this doesn't concern manual transmission 3's ?

DOOR LOCK

these are 2 seperate recalls. one is to replace the drivers side door lock and adds an extra bracket for it. this applies to both sedans and hatches in the effected year/vin range.

the other applies to automatics only in the effected year/vin range. i think that one applies to both sedans and hatches as well. its a small pipe on the transmission that is replaced with new gaskets and a new clamp for the hose that clamps onto it.

both of these are old news

just call any mazda dealership and ask to speak to an advisor and ask them to check emate on your vin and they will be able to dig up your file and see if your car did any recalls or not

I just recently had a Door Panel Rust proofing thing done under a recall too.

Make sure you get the facts from them...apparently you're supposed to leave your car with them so they can clean it properly, then apply the rust proofing, then let the chemical dry....

They didn't inform me about the recall, until i showed up, then they didn't tell me i was supposed to leave the car with them...now i have dirt particles embedded along the side of my door panels.....
