Well, I recently had the urge to try out the economy map (v103) for our car because of how garbage our roads are lately, can't have fun anyway. This is the first time trying the economy map for me, I wanted to sort of test it to see if it's worth using on my trips to MTL.
So far, the economy is terrible! I guess it MAY be because of my mods (Mazdaspeed SRI, turbo inlet, turboXS DP, CP-e CBE, forge BPV), but I really doubt it. My summer all city mileage was pretty much bang on 10.0L/100km every tank. I even have wide 235/40 tires. Since I put the winters on I've been averaging 12.5L/100km a tank all city. I haven't changed my driving habbits at all (I'm usually really easy on the car) and I'm at 14.2L/100km now! I noticed I was at 1/2 tank of gas after only 145kms. I reset my avg L/100km every tank.
So my question is, has anybody tried the economy map like I am right now, and what mileages did you get? Like, comparing before to after with the same driving habbits, traffic speed, etc.

first tank of gas after any map change is a throw-away...your mileage will improve after, regardless of which map you change from and to...just my experience.

Whenever I retuned between 91 and 93 maps in Quebec, my mileage never seemd to be affected.

How long did the economy mode last ;D You already got bored with it lol! Easiest way to lower gas mileage on long trips is to check your tire pressure and use cruise control (and don't speed)!

read the map notes... FOR STOCK CARS ONLY

Lasted just under 200kms. For stock cars only? Why would someone buy an MS3 then a $700 USD tuning device just to get LESS power than stock? Maybe should spend less and get a regular 3 if someone is dumb enough to do that. I just wanted to test it out for long trip use.

the stage 2 and 3 maps use less fuel than the OEM flash because the mods breathe better so the econo map cuts some boost and fuel to improve fuel economy on what is a really rich setup... when you have breathing mods you lean out your a/f so when you then run a map with much less fuel you can send your a/fs through the roof. not smart.
people don't leave that map on all the time, its for long trips or for when the real time switching bios is released like what the subby guys have

I was watching my a/fs and nothing too bad. staying a constant speed it was the same 14.5-15 like normal, WOT went down to 11.8. just crusing and light acceleration it showed very similar a/fs as the stage 2+ SF v103 I've been using. WOT with that map though is 10.5-10.8.

How is that economy mode working for you? Is it worth switching over?
ps: I'm also running the stage 2+ map 103 (93 octane) does your fuel pressure drop below 1200 psi???

No, not worth it. With the "economy" mode at the end of the tank I got 13.5L/100km. I then retuned to my original map, Stage 2+SF 93 v103, and got gas. After the first tank back with that map I got 11.8L/100km after the exact same type driving. All city, driving to and from work.

Why would Cobb call it the economy map then?....Weird. Did you do any logs yet? Suck as afr, fuel pressure,kr....etc? Anything out?

Like UOU said, it's meant to be economical with stock parts. Adding aftermarket parts (like I have) and running this map may cause the air/fuel stuff to go out of whack.
