My experience is that they don't discount items much, but they are willing to "throw in something" to sweeten the deal. I got a $100 sigma uv filter last time I bought a lens.

I guess it's not a surprise if you really think about it.

Filters have very high mark-up, not only by Henrys but by most local retailers.
Good thing you didn't pay for it cuz you could get a much better B+W filter for less online.

meh... i got non-canon one from ebay with TWO extra batteries for $80 shipped! It's nearly identical, the only difference is the texture not as "cannon-ish" nice... I'm comparing to my 10D with canon grip, and quality wise it's pretty decent...

Let me put it this way, even at $80 bucks this piece of plastic with a 4 buttons and some wires is way overpriced.

If this is not a promo, wait for second hand to drop in price... or just buy non-canon on ebay.

I just bought this over there site and paid $10 shipping, since it takes me a while from my house to the nearest henry's. Its just cheaper and faster this way.
