I did a search but couldn't find the answer to my simple question. Would it hurt the MAF if I sprayed it with throttle body cleaner to clean it out? I'm painting my CAI/SRI black and when I took it out I noticed it was really dirty.

I've used TBI cleaner with no problems, but as stormin84 says, use the MAF cleaner if you can get it instead.

Ok, I just used the TB cleaner and it worked well. Car seems to have a tad more power. The MAF was pretty darn grungy.
