I've never been a huge fan of Ford (just the fact that they ever made the Tempo/Topaz...*shudders*) but I ALWAYS liked the SHO.
Something about it...that 'subtle' performance look...the fact that you knew it wasn't just a regular Taurus but it didn't scream out 'muscle car' like a Firebird or Camaro or something like that.
Glad to see they brought it back and I really like the looks of it.
Good job Ford. I just hope it won't be a Found On Road Dead!

I'm looking forward to the reviews on this new "Ecoboost" engine of theirs... seems like they have a good thing going there! AWD to boot, thats a first for the SHO! I almost bought a 99 about a month ago, but just couldn't get over the 96-99 egg look...
And we had a 88 Tempo!! That thing was bulletproof! 180K on her and only replaced the tie rods and a muffler! 98 HP too! :P

Yep, whopping 98 HP from that 2.3L pinto engine!

I will be considering it for sure. I get a huge Ford discount (A plan), as I was considering the Speed6 in my future plans. (want the family sized car with performance and AWD)
To give you an idea on the discount, my escape stickered at $33,200+tax, I paid $28,000 tax in. :)

I'm guessing they have something to do with the GPS or Stereo...

I can get you the "friends and neighbours" discount (X or Z plan I think), but not the A-Plan... thats immediate family members!

It's fugly
Still a Ford.
If you want one... Just wait a few months when the lots are flooded with them and they can't sell them (like every other Ford product) you can get one cheaper lol.

During the NAIAS I took pics of the Taurus... It was the same one you posted the link from. I was very shocked to see it. 80s vehicle back to life!!!

Personally I like the Pontiac G8 GXP (Holden Commodore) better. With a 6.2 LS3 Vette motor under the hood what more can you ask for?

It looks like a larger Ford Focus.
Same lines. That little vent near the front quarter panel, the tail lights...
Nice but not sure I would buy the SHO.

I'd love one of these, I always thought the SHO's were a more subtle muscle car. Something about this interior is throwing me off though, I have a feeling the interior plastics are going to ruin it.
