I was trying to find information regarding matching our fog light colour temp to either OEM 4300 HID or a 6000 DS2. If I decide to remove my Lamin-X yellow film from the fog lights I would like to change the stock halogen bulb out for one that looks the same colour without switching it to an HID.

I know you can get (H4 or 9006?) halogen bulbs in various temps but I was told that they won't look the same.

Example if I chose to upgrade my DS2 bulbs to 6000k, and purchased halogen 6000k fogs, they still wouldn't appear the same colour. This is hard to explain in type. Anyone succesfully got them to match the factory HID or 6000k?

I would also like to know this. Plus are the DS2's easy to change?

There is a review of a whole bunch of halogen bulbs out on the Internet somewhere. The conclusion was that the closest match to HID are Silverstars. The color temp is 4000K, very close to HID.
