Salt/Winter Waste

Is the black mica just a bad colour for the winter? Because I'm looking at other cars and they're not as dirty as fast as mine!

For example, I wash my car weekly (at least) and within 1 day, its the exact same as it was before aka (the entire back and side is white, and the hood and roof is black...)

Is it the area I live in, is it the colour... any ideas?

lol, I think either black or white both show the dirt from winter time. I would say either siliver or beige like colours seem to hold up a little better.

But from the weather, nothign you can do to keep it clean.

I like the fact that i have a car that likes to xhange color during different seasons :chuckle

it is brutal though esp when driving on the highway, the car ends up all whitish/greyish

honestly, having it dirty is not that bad. it's just that you have to remember to clean it every once in a while so the gunk that's stuck on it doesn't cause anything ... unfortunate to happen like rust. but that applies to all cars.

i took my car through the car wash and it couldn't even clean it.. i went back to the clerk and tried to argue that my car was still dirty after the wash, but she wouldn't let me run through again.

my car is white.. and i'm talking some of the front end and ALL of the back end was still brown from dirt....

OP: yeah it just shows more on the black, and white. look on the bright side... you're spanking shiny when you're clean! can't wait for spring to arrive... winter and all the dirt... :bang I just hand washed my car today, the roof didn't look dirty but when I ran the cloth and soap on it, the soap bubbles were brown!

those machine washes are a waste of money...i use the coin-op where i can actually reach the hard to reach places so that i know and see that I didn't miss any spots.

Nope, didn't even bother to go look. Granted, my car was really dirty, but i paid for a wash which didn't happen. oh well.

Phil, it's a lot easier to go to the machine washes because it's faster. I know the coin ops are better, but unfortunately I just don't have the time to do that.

i know that but still..i come out and i see spots that are missed and i get the "Luxury Wash" yet my car still looks like crap. so instead of spending the $11 and the gas station i just spend $2 at the coin wash and do it all myself (when I have time to spare):)

Taking time in washing your car at a coin wash is better,than car wash,I went through the car wash, man so sucks not good for bird crap, totally waste off money i rather do it my self...but only factor of the coin wash compared to car wash is u can get more salt of the car, guarntee ..:bana

Your car always looks like crap Phil LOL ...walked into that one eh! :chuckle ...You know I'm just joking buddy, you have the best Getto looking 3 in the club!, especially the bullet holes on the front bumper...classic :)

Sorry, back on topic; With all the snow and shite this year it's pretty hard to keep the car looking clean more then a day or two...I've found anyways.It's a little depressing to say the least.You guys think Black or white shows alot of dirt?, the Indigo blue is not much different, believe me I've had cars in all three colours.

Anyways when I don't get the chance to wash the car at work, I'll use a coin wash but I'll go there on 'off hours', so I don't get harrassed, with a bucket, mitt and shami...only way to get her properly cleaned, using only the spray doesn't clean off all the dirt properly and I've found myself washing the car atleast twice a week this winter....this week I'm hoping to give her a quicky wax job too!!:hawt

I washed last saturday.... even tempted to claybar and wax after that.. but I held off :chuckle the spots are back on my cwp :bang
