Arrgghhhh!!!

Alright so i was just leaving work today when i noticed something was wrong with the upper grille on the front of my car. it appears some douchebag managed to somehow hit my 5 month old car :(
as a result, the middle of the grill is now sitting underneath the hood, when the rest of it is about a 1/2 inch outside of the hood...i know its EXTREMELY MINOR damage, but im pretty pissed off seeing that i park my car extremely carefully.
there are concrete barriers all the way around my spot and there are no spots across from me which is why im still trying to figure out why someone would have been backing up there...im also trying to figure out how someone managed to scratch my bumper (right above the plate) and then push in the top of my grille without touching the hood...
i went to MOT since i had to pass by there today but i arrived a little too late to talk to anyone from service...
has this happened to anyone before?
also, how much is a new grille just in case the old one cant be repaired?

looks like the only good thing to come out of this is now i have an excuse to repaint the bumper...bye bye rock chips...

that really sucks man. hope u can get it fixed cheap. also im sure u can get a grille for a good price here. specially if u want a stock one since lots of ppl are changing them

i beleive on the GT front bumpers, the grill is non-removable.

and im in need of a new bumper..... so if you end up replacing it, PM me!!!!

Seriously? Wow...if that's the case I'm gonna be pissed lol...I really hope that's not the case...
I thought I've seen an aftermarket grille on a gt before though...
Either way I'm gonna wait till it gets nicer out to repair it...hopefully it can somehow be bent back to save me som $...
Anyone know of a good paint shop? I wanna get it done properly so I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest place...

I had an almost similar thing happen to me. But it was my fault when it did. I have a GS so my new grille cost me around $130 which came factory painted to my colour (they all do) so if you are able to buy a GT grille hopefully like the GS they come factory painted.

I also had a crack in my front bumper. To repair, and refinish the bumper and to install the new grille ended up costing me $615 if I can remember correctly. But 80% of that cost was devoted to the bumper repair.

That sucks, there are some real A-holes out here. The grill is removable and hope fully thats all of the damage!

No it's not. 04-06 all grills are removable. 07-09 MS3 and sedan GT grills are part of the bumper.

Yepp...people are real a holes...I wish I knew the f*** face that hit my car...
I had a chance to look at it more when I got off of work yesterday and it seems that the grille itself is okay but the black plastic attached to it on the back (inside the engine bay) is shattered to sh*t...does anyone know if just this could be replaced to solve the problem?
I will be going by MOT tomorrow after work or sometime Saturday to see how badly I'm gonna suffer for this one lol....


On another note, anyone know how much it would cost to get the bumper and possibly the hood repainted? I have some rather large and deep rock chips that I want to take care of since I need the bumper repainted too...
