People have done it, i personally don't think its a big deal. There have been dyno runs that prove its got no actual gain because the computer just adjusts to compensate.

I did it back then, I used 89 octane for a couple of times and then went back to 87. I don't think it does enough for you to feel anything really.

I did it. Very easy, added about an extra minute to my oil change. I don't notice any difference in acceleration or fuel mileage and no pinging. There is a definite, though subtle improvement when climbing big hills, like Blue Mountain. Not a real performance boost, it just doesn't seem to labour quite as much. Pretty much what I expected.
