First Car you ever drove

I was inspired by the "what did you drive before" thread and seeing people posting all of the other cars that they ever owned. I was wondering if the first car they had was necessarily the "first" car they had ever driven. For me the first car I ever had was my old vw passat. but the first car I ever drove was a Renault Le car 5 Turbo 4 spd!

I never had taken any real tricked out photo's of it ( i built it as a sleeper) ported and polished heads, bigger MAF, Neuspeed Cai, digital fuel delivery (got rid of that motronic crap) reworked computer to go with the new intake, headers, vr6 catalytic converter with s/s techtonic exhaust with oval remus muffler. I also had a custom sound system but I won't go into that here. I didn't have the leather seats, but I did have the heated option. I had it until my dad passed away and our family could no longer afford/need 2 cars I sold it and kept the 99 malibu that car was 7 years newer but what a piece of junk and what a gas hog. I miss my b3:bang

I had something similar!

It was a 1977 Grand prix! A huge boat with wheels. I had to sit on a baseball base to see over the hood! I was about 16 at the time.

Great car though. It accelerated to 45 kms on it's own.

Yeah! Just let go of the brake and it started slowly driving up to about 45kms.

I believe it was an 8 cylinder.
You had to carry gas with you just in case the next station was more than 10kms! Just kidding... but close!

That car was all hood!! My Olds Dynamic88 was the opposite, all trunk! lol Well, and a huge hood to house that 7.5L 425 rocket engine! We roughly measured it.... 6'6" wide by 18' long! and 5000+lbs FTW!! :chuckle

only 310 HP? Mine was converted over to a 4V, was kicking 375HP! And 500+ ft/lbs of torque! I called it the "house mover", thing could move a house and its foundation!! lol I think about 10 mpg was what I got out of it though! lol

Before my 16th birthday I had driven a variety of vehicles from lawn tractors, to forklifts. I've driven dirt bikes and ATV's. If its got wheels I'd love to drive it. Friends know that I pride on smooth driving, if I can go 120 with you sleeping in the back I've done my job. But I also love going fast :)

No screaming chicken, the previous owner removed it. Was a weird color combo, white exterior and black/wine interior. Had the T-Bar roof and power windows, AC and Cruise had been disabled by the previous owner. Only upgrades I did were Goodyear Vector tires and Harmon Kardan deck with a Pioneer amp.
