Yeah, as you can see, people are usually divided on this, you either like collecting kicks or you don't see the reason to have so many shoes. All things considered, the same thing can be said about car enthusiasts and putting money into modding a car, some may say its just a car as they do when they say, its just a shoe but to each their own. Nonetheless, good on ya phil for bringing this back, lol. So what kind of shoes/brands are people into? I'm a Nike guy myself.

1x formal shoes
1x cycling shoes
1x hiking boots

at first i started collecting jordans then i wanted shoes to match the color clothing i wore so i want to be a lil colour coordinated:chuckle some shoes i only wore once and havent even thought about wearing them again..hmm my most recent pair..Jordan VIII lovn em:)

No need for me to waste money on footwear. I have my 2 year old $20 walmart skate shoes which still do me fine, plus my summer work boost and my winter work boots which have a removable inner liner good to -70c.

I only spend a lot of cash on my work boots ($140 for the summer and $180 for winters) because you get what you spend when it comes to work boost. I've had an $80 and $90 pair of summer boost both break up on me within 1.5-2 months, my $140 summers are going for their second season now.

But on the other side of the scale, I've had $100 nike and rebok shoes before a few times which would always break up after 2-3 months but $20-30 725 skate shoes from Walmart would last for at the very least a year. The flat skate soles are great for driving feel and great for when I used to dirt jump on my bike, I had the spikey pedals so normal runners would just get completely torn up on the bottom.

I basically spend as little as possible on clothing and as much as I can on my car, traveling and tools for work (within reason).
