Wow mazda 3's are accident magnets... I'm gonna always park in the open but then there's a risk of stolen property :(

That sucks.

You're going to require an entire bumper cover replacement. It's going to be some nice $ out of her pocket if you don't go through insurance.

Umm... correct me if I'm wrong, but if she didn't have a passenger with a G lic. for a min. 4 years or so, she's not allowed by law to drive that vehicle with a G1. You should have been reported to the police.
If there are no witnesses and you go through insurance technically it's a 50/50 at fault senario in a parking lot. Meaning if it's reported thru insurance your prems. will likely go up.
She can now easily say that she had someone with a qualified G lic. with her and she never backed in to you, but instead you hit her car...

Also any damage exceeding $600 (i think that's the number) should be reported to a collision centre, unless she is going to pay for the damages... Front bumper painted will probably cost over $900?

I've heard of this 50/50 before, but when I was hit the other guy was 100% at fault. Both the officer at the collision centre and my insurance co said so; iirc, it had to do with the fact that my car was stationary. My premiums did not change.

Don't sweat it. You got her insurance info. You have witnesses. See what she decides to do. Get quotes and have them ready when you discuss things over. If they are not willing to pick up the tab, report your insurance and let them handle it. Keep in mind once your insurance confirms she backed up into you, your insurer should handle your damages at no cost to you (deductible should be waived). It could get messy if she decides to claim you rear ended her.
Just because it happened in a parking lot it does not mean 50/50. There are still rules and laws to be followed when driving there.

If your bumper needs to be replaced (sounds like it does) than yeah you are looking at a pretty coin and I doubt they will want to pay up but who knows.

Who is your and her insurer btw?

Good luck!
