Chi has been my mechanic for the past year and I have nothing but good things to say about him. A lot of the guys on the Toronto Accord Club forum go to him for all their install/repair needs, and have given him nothing but positive reviews

Chi is straight up, honest, reliable, and understands the whole mod scene.

Just came across this thread and noticed that some of you guys take your car to Chi's shop, 360 auto. Turns out that he is friends with my brother and has told me he's quite reputable.. Anyways, I've seen him all over the accord forums. Anybody know how familiar he is with our 3s?

Got my rims and springs installed by Chi yesterday and it was a positive experience throughout. Chi was a nice and informative guy, and even brought us drinks knowing that we were waiting for quite a while. The sitting area was good too (we got to watch HIMYM episodes and a bit of Inception haha). Prices were pretty fair too, he charged me for the springs, but installed the rims free of charge. I'd definitely recommend anyone to go there for the many different auto services they provide. :thumbsup

I have been to Chi a few times but will no longer be continuing to go to him. I find him to be very hasty both on the phone and in person. When I arrive for my appointment he has no idea who I am or what my problem was so I need to explain it again. He doesn't really try to diagnose a problem but rather throws out ideas to fix it. I find his tone to be very aggressive as well. "you have to do this, this, this, etc". What bothered me about my last experience was how he started on my car, then went away to deal with other people, then came back to my job, then went away again. His labor rate is a few bucks cheaper than my normal mechanic who my dad and I have gone to for a few years (who turns a VERY precise/tight operation) so I don't think I'll be returning. He is also terrible at returning emails/PMs (he has never once returned any). Perhaps he should hire more staff rather than trying to juggle tons of people?

I have gone to him for mechanical work only so I perhaps those who are getting spoiler/mod/suspension installs have had better luck.

Good Mechanic is like that, they are busy and they are a true mechanic, not an administrative people that sit in office to answer email and phone calls. I never been to Chi, but Jimmy is similar to this, once he was working on my car and then a supplier walked in with parts and he went to office and talk to him for a good 30 minutes and i was just standing there whole time.

I didn't complain as long as they did a good job, and usually they don't look at the clock and count by hours, they count by what they had to work on your car. Is not like a dealership that we count every single things, even a cheap plastic gasket, they wll add $3.50 + tax on the bill.

A good mechanic has sufficient staff and an organized shop so he can complete work efficiently and pass jobs to others if he has to deal with a supplier or other customer. I spent a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes at his shop. He worked on my car for approximately 40 minutes total (between him leaving to talk to people and coming back several times) yet billed me for an hour's work. Not once did he apologize or excuse himself. He just walked off while I stood and watched. Had he taken me in and done the job start to finish, I should have been in and out quicker. I have been to Chi 3 times, the first time I was satisfied (simply fluid change), the 2nd I left with my car to get a better diagnosis as I wasn't comfortable with Chi's "do this, do that" answer, and the 3rd was to install a part that I bought to fix a problem.

I'm not going to tell people "Chi sucks, don't go to him" but I personally, was not satisfied with his service and customer relations. YMMV

Sounds like that only happen at the dealership and you will need to pay the price for it.

One more thing I want to ask...I guess Chi is a Chinese, are you a Chinese as well? Because most chinese mechanic, they aren't the best for communicating in English and when they talk loud, people think it's unpolite. lol

I am caucasian. Chi is Vietnamese but he associates with many Chinese customers. He speaks Cantonese.

my gf does there but i dont think i will..... they used on impact gun on my lug nuts and wouldn't recheck work after I had it done and had some concerns. Too bad for him because I would have actually started going to him for oil changes if he had left a good impression.

Can anyone recommend a place for oil changes in that area then? Last time I was at Jimmys I feel like I got charged too much considering I brought my own oil. When i mentioned that fact the new guy just shrugged. not gonna argue over 10 bucks but its also far for me to go anyways
