OEM NGKs are good. Can't go wrong there.

I went with Motorcraft AYFS22FM - they cost only $6.50 each and I didn't have to drive 60 km to get them. They work fine, the car starts and runs just as well as it did with original plugs. If you notice any sort of power gain after you change spark plugs it just means you left the old ones in too long.

Don't for get that the oem ones don't need to be changed till 120,000km

It would take me about 8 or 9 years to put 120,000 km on my car. Even if the OEM plugs keep firing there is no way they will come out after that long. But, based on experience I'd say the OEM iridium plugs will be done after 3-4 years, regardless of mileage. I don't want to wait until some morning when it is -25 or -30 and have the car not start. That is just not fun.

Besides, I like to tinker and replacing the plugs also let me see the engine is in as good condition as the way it runs indicates. The original plugs were all dry with minimal deposits and no obvious signs of stress, deformation or overheating on the electrodes or insulators. Knowing that is good for peace of mind. I'm sure I could have safely put the original plugs back in and run them in for another couple of years but considering how inexpensive new plugs are it seemed reasonable to me to install new ones.

I have a 2006 M3 2.0 ltr. and I recently (2 weeks ago) replaced my OEM spark plugs which is already 3 years old, into a Bosch Platinum 2, Bosch part number 4315. The car runs well, no hard starting yet.

I wanted to go for a Bosch platinum 4 but I think it is an overkill for a day-to-day driving. The platinum 2 cost me CN$ 5.99 per piece while the platinum 4 is CN$ 8.99. I cleaned the OEM ones and kept it in my tool box, just in case.

I just replaced my spark plugs on my 2.0. I purchased NGK laser iradiums. I don't trust Bosh platinum plus fours anymore (poet) They were not cheap. 20 bucks each at Nappa. Interesting what I pulled out of the engine though.
Made in japan with F.M.C stamped on it. (Ford Motor Company?) They were "not" NGK's from factory as I would of thought. Plugs looked ok. Not too much carbon build up. But like the other on a previous post. I don't want to leave them in there for 3 or more years. Besides, very easy to do. They almost pop out on there own. (just kidding)
