CPE CAI Installed

Spent today underneath the car installing the CPE Xcel intake. It was a bit of a hassel but all done in 4 hours. Most of my problem was soem rusted bolts (despite only 1 winter, and being Krowned), and a few hidden snap bolts.

Big difference in noise, but not so sure about power. I already have the TBE, and IP so I get a lot of loud wooshing from the turbo, and a more pronounced BOV pop.

I am leaning towards saying it is too loud really, but I'll give it some time.

Overall 4 of 10 for install hardness, going to the dyno again soon to see the power gains.

I'm execting my CP-e XCel intake and CP-e Turbo Inlet this week, and hoping to find time to install during next weekend.

Keep us posted on your Dyno results, I am really curious to hear about the numbers.

lol 4 hours. Where you sleeping on the job :P I love the sound os the CPE intake compared to the Mazdaspeed one.

There was no need to rush. It was a nice saturday, have to enjoy the process.
