Hello everyone
I'm looking to lower my Mazda3 HB soon and want to get different opinions from everyone about these 3 models of springs.
H-Tech
S-Tech
Pro Kits
I live in Montreal, so we have fairly more snow here then Toronto... I'm a lil worried about S-Tech being too low for winter....
Any first hand experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!!!!

if your worried about winter time then get adjustable coilovers cost a crap load more but worth it, especially in canada. cheers
If i were you i go with pro-kits since the drop is not drastic...That's what i playing on using next spring when i lower my car.

From what a member told me, Racing beat is another spring that should be listed. its not much of a noticeable drop like pro kits, but its a stiffer spring with good cornering.
so if you sacrifice looks for handling, Racing beat is the way to go.
This should be a big help in deciding between spring rates and how much they lower the car.

thanks~
I've seen those threads already.
I'm mostly interested to know if S-Tech would rub in heavy snow winter.
If it doesn't the other 2 won't for sure~

If you're really worried about the winters, put the investment in and go with coilovers. But if you're limiting your search to the above mentioned.... h-tech, prokits, or racing beat are the way to go.

I have Tein S-Tech's and haven't had any problems in the winter. Just as long as you have some good winters you should be OK.

The reason winter is an issue is having your bumper falling off trying to trudge through the snow.
I have the S-techs, and I have a lip. I'm always trying to stay away from unplowed areas cuz of this. I feel the pain when I see the snow being plowed by my lip.
Unless you have a lip... DONT WORRY ABOUT IT!!!

Just take the lip off. I take mine off as soon as winter hits. (It's going back on the car this Saturday).

I think pro-kits is your best bet!

+1
I'm in the same boat. S-Techs for the last 4 years (4 WINTERS!) No issues. Just rock winter tires. Plenty of lowered cars driving around in the winter

S-Tech's will be stiffer the H-Tech's. H- Tech's are more of a milder drop between the 2, and offer as close to OEM feel as possible.
I know with my H- Tech's, I'll rub the speed bumps in my complex if i don't go over them on an angle. I think Flipdaddy, philo5gx, fonz, and RJ3 can vouch for that :chuckle

I see~
If H-Tech rubs on speed bumps then i can't even imagine the S-Tech...
Comfort would be a great addition too, but I don't want it to be softer then OEM for sure.
