Anyone know the turnaround time for a paypal refund?

I sent out some money via paypal on friday.. made a mistake
seller refunded the money
i then made a new payment

check my bank account today and paypal debited out both payments.
but have yet to put one of the payments back into my account as a refund..

do i make sense?

i can see a refund was issued, just hasnt shown up in the bank yet..

anyone know the turnaround?

it usually goes back to your paypal account itself i think? if u used cash
u then need to manually put the money back into your bank account via paypal

see if u have a balance in your paypal

The refund showed up as a transaction in paypal.. in other words i see

XXX refunded your payment of $XXX.XX

my balance is 0.00 in paypal becasue my bank account is directly connected to my paypal.. so when i send money it debits right from my account and not to my credit card or anything.

In my bank statement it still just shows 2 debit transactions from paypal no refund in the actaul bank statement

But when they refund it, the money should got into your paypal first, not your bank. Paypal doesn't automatically put it in your bank, you have to instruct them to do so.

i dont get that..when i got money refunded i had to manually put it back in my account by going to withdraw funds..and it goes straight back to my back account within a week

ok so 6-8 days maybe but does anyone understand that definition^^^ it's a bit confusing

My paypal is setup for instant transfer so everytign is directly linked to my bank i assume based on this not i should have the money in 8 days? I cant understand why it would take so long

same thing happened to me when i was putting funds into my paypal account..i put the funds of a certain amount on April 2nd and it went to the processing stage. It just went in last night April 13th..thats almost 2 weeks..i dunno man i think it depends on the amount of funds being refunded

its just stupid they can process a debit on the 10th, but they cant do that for a refund.. as soon as this refund is done i'm removing my bank account!

Yep, mine is tied to my credit card. BTW: For US purchases: if you move your PayPal to be backed by a credit card you can choose whether to use the PayPal exchange rate or the credit card one.....

Yes, i have 2 credit cards attached to my account..

Once i added my bank account to my paypal i guess it became the default funding source.

so i was surprised when my bank account was charged for the transaction..

Oversight on my part i guess, i should ahve looked more closely at the funding source.

Becasue of this fell under my minimum required balance and now im gonna get charged the account fee from TD :flaming

lesson learned.. that money better show up!

For some reason when I used paypal, the fastest bank that actually accepted paypal was Presidents choice, I waited only 2 days for money to come in sometimes, max 4.
