I've looked around the forum and got insight on using the california duster the mini one on the interior i've used one for years and it works well for me. What I want to know is if anyone uses the big one for the exterior? I just washed detailed my car and it's still clean but i see that it's dusty know, should I just wash again or will it be safe to just "dust" it until the next time I wash it?

If its just dust, its safe to use the California duster. Anything else like mud, bird droppings or something caked onto the paint it will be safer to wash. Now, if a thick layer of dust, you should wash it. Better to be safe than sorry. You don't want bits of gravel stuck in the brush to scratch the finish the next time you use the duster.
I've been using the duster for years and have had zero issues. Besides, I always keep a micro fiber cloth and detailing spray for those little touch ups.

Take the safer route (least invasive) and give your car a quick rinse with deionized water at the coin op. This way your car will dry without water spots, and you didn't have to touch your paint with something that could potentially harm the finish.

deionized water you say?? so that's why it cost $1.00 a minute!
I have one..i used to use it on my truck and it never hurt the paint. My truck spent most of it's days in my garge and when i would take the truck otu for a boot it would be a sunny day and i would use the califonia duster before i took it out.
