Hey all, I just got the vibrant DP back exhaust for my car, and am planning to get the TurboXS DP. i know most likely i will throw a CEL, which if im correct is just an informational CEL due to the 1st Cat not being detected. But i think it will bother me enough that i want to get rid of it.
Is there a way to prevent that or to get rid of the CEL w/out the COBB AP, or dashhawk, or removing the negative cable of the battery?
BTW, the exhaust sounds sweet...and car feels much quicker in the midrange rpm.

For some reason I've not had this CEL in over 6 months. The first 4 months I had it I'd get the CEL every week. Not sure what's happened, but it is weird.

You can get a bung extender for the 2nd O2 sensor, which helps some, but that doesn't do it for everyone though.

hmmm, well i guess if i know its an informational CEL, it won't kill me if its there. I'll just wait to get the AP. thanks Pat, i'll probably pm you in a week or two for it.

There is two ways.
Electronical:

Mechanical:

Don't know how reliable they are. Main target of those mods, to make the O2 sensor not react on 1-3 sec. changes of short fuel trim and to show the low oxygen level. Whereas at moments of deceleration ,sensor has to show the high oxygen level.
In another way the PCM throws error too.

When I first got the TurboXS DP I'd get the code every 400-2000km/s. It was really random. I haven't gotten the CEL now in about 16,000kms or more.

someone does, someone doesnt. i got the cated DP and i still got a CEL last winter when that was -22C at the morning (so far, only once). IMO, if you can, you should get a cated DP.
