Hey guys,

Just wanted to let it be known that St. Catharines Mazda is a great group of people.

I was set on a used Hatchback Mazda 3, as the Sedan didn't rub me the same way the Hatchback did. I drove over to the local Mazda dealership and much to my dismay they didn't have any hatchbacks that met my criteria, yet had several sedans.

Fast track two weeks and I've finally located the perfect Hatchback for myself but it was located in Kitchener. So, the old man and I drive out there and purchase it from a private used car dealership.

I fell in love with the car on the drive home and enjoyed the car thoroughly throughout the winter. Come spring time and you guessed it... there's rust all over the place, yet still minor compared to most of the pictures I see on the forum. So, I figured I was SOL as I had bought the car used and from a private dealership.

I figure why not give the rust warranty a shot that I read up on here and took it to my dealer.

Ryan at St. Catharines Mazda listened to my problem, quickly verified whether or not I was still eligible for the warranty work and had arranged that I come in on a Monday and we'd get the ball rolling... I still had my doubts as I knew the general process in that Mazda Canada needs to give the thumbs up for the repairs and had recently read on here that you can only take the car to the dealership you purchased the car from.

Anyhow, I drop my car off on Monday and Ryan tells me to come back Friday.

Friday rolls around and I give St. Catharines Mazda a call as I was jonesing to hit a Blue Jays game that weekend with a bunch of old college buddy's. Laura [I believe?] answers and tells me Ryan is out for lunch and that she'd go ask the bodyshop what the status was on my car. 15 minutes later I receive a call from Ryan that my car is ready and to come pick it up.

I STILL had my doubts that anything had been done. I go and get the car and she looks brand new, the repair was very well done and was even rustproofed in the rear wheel wells. I open up the door to my car to drive her away and I smell something pretty, then notice they had vacuum'd and completely cleaned the interior of my car as well.

The way Ryan took ownership of the problem and further more treated me was amazing and I have got to give two thumbs up to St. Catharines Mazda Service Department.

Prior to getting the repairs done I was hesitant to ever purchase another Mazda again as my mother owns an MPV and has terrible rust issues and must say that the way I was treated and how promptly the matter was taken care of has really changed my opinion in buying Mazda again. I know they'll definitely be getting my business from this day forth as I've always loved Mazda's offerings yet was always rubbed the wrong way due to the rusting issues.

Had a decent service from St. Catharines as well

My 3 had the Bose problem, and at the time, I took it there. At first, they were reluctant to help me and said there is no problem with the stereo cutting out, but the gentleman offered to go for a spin with me, and after 2 min of driving he was well aware. Ordered the parts, within one week it was done no problem.
