any places you can recommend for buying parts online in canada?

I want to change my front brakes (pads and rotors) on a 2007 2.0L

a local dealer quoted me 95.27 per rotor and 118.6 for pads
at local NAPA store the rotors are 84 each and the pads 87$ (unknown brands)
at autopartsway.ca or autopartsonlinecanada.com I can get akebono pro-act ceramic pads for 129 and pilenga rotors for around 70$ each. (and free shipping)

what do you think of these prices and brands? can I get better elsewhere?

I am not going to the track or driving aggressively, this is exclusively for normal street driving. I would like to eliminate the brake dust as well (would the akebono pads be better for dust?)

Have you checked with some of our sponsors? Have a look here:http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=30980
Prices look better than what you are being quotes.

I saw that thread already but I have a few issues...

I live in montreal, not toronto. I need to be able to pay for a credit card and have the stuff shipped to me. From the thread I see the shipping would be another 50 $

I have no problem with the rotors, but am not sure about the pads. What are semi-metallic pads, as opposed to ceramic? what are the mazda OEM pads made of?

shop around and buy the deal that you feel most comfortable with. If it's not with a sponsor then so be it.

not too familiar with those brands but if you want something reputable ie. Rotora and Hawk pads check out therpmstore.com. These might be alittle pricey but well worth it
