hi there,

my 2007 GT is making a clunking noise in the rear - especially bad when going over bumps etc

car has 16K on it

caller dealer and they said that its sounds like the rear stablizer links and not covered under warranty....

has anyone had this problem or heard about it?? seems odd that there should be this kind of problem and its not covered by warranty...barely drive this car at all

might just be a loose endlink bolt. very common for it to become loose and eventaully lets go of the rear sway bar...have a look under your car to see if the endlinks/swaybar is attached.

hey, yeah, im having this problem too. everything i would go over a bump it would make a clunking nosie. one of my tech said it was lateral link n some other tech said it was rear shocks assembly but im going to bring it to Street Performance for jimmy to take a look at it.

I actually just had my stabilizer links and ball joints replaced on my 2005 Mazda3 today (did not pay -- dealership I bought the car from shouldered the repair/replacements for me). No more clunking sound at all. I had this problem too with my Civic but even when I changed the ball joints and stabilizer links on that one, the sound didn't go away... :(
