Sooo, if anyone knows the Lakeshore/Carlaw area there is an Esso/Tim Horton's right on the corner. It's horrendous for traffic in the morning and they have since posted a NO TURNING LEFT between X hours.
Anyways, everyday I see a bunch of people PULLED OVER. I don't see how they miss the GIANT sign posted right in front of them WHEN THERE IS A COP PARKED RIGHT UNDERNEATH IT, who JUST pulled over someone else.
I love that they think they will not get pulled over just because someone else is already pulled over.. HAHAHAHA just makes me laugh watching this every day and I wanted to share this with all of you here. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!!!!!! LOL :chuckle:chuckle:chuckle:chuckle:chuckle:chuckle

to be perfectly honest all these turning restrictions are getting out of hand. Pretty soon between 7-9 am and 4-6 pm all we will be able to do is to drive straight! The city has got to get with the program recognize where the busy spots are and instead of banning it try to deal with it set up seperate left turn only lanes use the double advanced green so that both sides of the street can turn left! Or even better to avoid all this get with the program and install roundabouts! No lights to people sitting idling for 5+ minutes smogging up the atmosphere waitin to turn left at the only intersection for 5 km in either direction that they are allowed to do so! The one I really don't understand is the no right turn between x and y times!

this is why i take eastern instead of lakeshore on the way to work and commissioners on the way home. that stretch is just getting busier by the day.

It's pretty insane.
Hopefully it all starts to die down once school is out in June. The commute isn't as bad then.
At least I have my music to get me to and from Mississauga to T.Dot.

don't you see the REAL problem here???
Why are so many people still going to Tim Horton's??? Isn't the whole "Roll up the Rim to Win" fiasco over with now? Didn't someone win the stupid LCD and Venza?? Get over it!!
PEOPLE!! Brew your own darn coffee at home and stop turning left for Timmie's!!!! :chuckle

hahahah I should start doing that really since the coffee at this Tim's is ALWAYS crap. Most of the time I barely drink it. I guess it's just habit and a time killer before work.
le sigh.
and that roll up can SUCK IT. I only won 4 times out of 975920375963532 coffees.

last time i was in hong kong, i was struck by the simplicity of the solution to the problem.... only let one direction of travel go at a time. sure, it slows everyone down a little bit, but it means you can allow right turns, left turns, and straight through traffic without too many problems. That way you don't need a "can't turn left between 3 and 7 pm" sign either...

And mayor Miller considers Toronto to be a world class city :( sad very sad. sorry I forgot if miller had his way we'd all be on bicycles and taking the transit system that can't even handle the amount of riders it has now
