Hey guys,

i got huge problems. When i put on my summers this year i found that the front of my car was a lot lower. I've got the eibach sportlines installed for about 4 years now. Today when i jacked up the front of the car to do a oil change, i've notice that both the front springs are broken. I've never heard of these sportlines being broken! Has anyone else heard of this?

Does anyone know if Eibach will replace these? not too sure if there are lifetime warranty.
If anyone can help out with this please let me know.

=/ broken springs. Yeeouch. I hope it works out for you.

According to their website there is a million mile warranty. You should read the 'exclusion' section to see if you are in violation of any of their caveats:

Also from what I understand in order to get warranty you have to provide bill of sale. Sooo, if you bought from a sponsor who does not give a receipt, you may be out of luck.

I'd contact them. I mean, it won't hurt. That's very rare, I've never heard of this happening before. heck if they don't honour their warrantee this will spread fast among the aftermarket community on how their springs break!

For sure, contact them. I just find it funny that use on a moded vehicle voids the warranty of aftermarket parts.

Ya I would contact them, springs breaking isn't unheard of and does happen (mostly with old stock springs).

If you don't have a receipt maybe they would cut you a deal on a new set or something. Either way I would be interested to know what happens.. being on the same springs.

Well i went a completely different route! I didnt bother to call them anymore, cuz I bought these springs of another member 4 years go. As for receipts, I dont have any. Instead of me paying the shipping back to eibach and going through all the head aches, I just screw it and bought an entire new setup. I still went back with the sportlines, and installing the FSD to go alone with it.

Coils were an option, but after feeling the ride on the Teins and comparing it with my sportlines, the ride was much better with the sportlines springs.
Thanks for all the comments guys!

Any reason why you didn't go with the Koni Yellows ?

Any reason why you didn't go with the Koni Yellows ?

I heard the ride on the FSD are more for comfort and that's what i am looking for.
Pretty much the main reason, and the fact that i need shocks.
Fours years and going on the 5th on stock shocks and sportlines year= 1 rough ride!

I say you should still write/email Eibach. At least to say you're still a repeat customer. They may send you an apologee or potentially some merchandise or something. I'm interested to hear what they have to say about a broken spring!

Well.....long story short.....I've bought an replacement set and install those with the FSD's. I am very very satisfied with the ride. Going from stock shocks to FSD, HUGE difference.

Also i've contacted Eibach to find out about the replacement springs. They've told me that since I've already went out and bought a set, they are only willing to replace the front two that was broken, that's the good news. The bad news, in order for me to get these two replacements they need to see prove of purchase when I bought these 4 years ago. However I bought it from another member who lives in Michigan. I do not have any receipt. And they also need to see pictures of the broken springs with the part number on it.
So I am now on the hunt to find the original owner for him to find the receipt.

At least they were willing to do that much, not bad. Good luck finding the original owner/receipt.
