Hey guys, how often do all of you with Mazdaspeed CAIs change the filter or clean it?
I'm at about 20,000km with the CAI and I think I may need to clean/change the filter.

Spring and fall with an oil change. I check my filter every time I change my oil though

If it's black or dark grey I suggest cleaning it. Another good method is to buy a spare one and clean the current one you have and put it aside.

The only or the easiest way to take the filter out is to jack up the car and take it out from the bottom of the car ?

That is the easiest and you don't have to jack it up if you are at stock height.

I've actually recently had this problem with the filter being dirty, but when i took it to mazda to get it cleaned out, they said that they can't clean the filter with any chemical cleaners becuase the filter is paper as opposed to mesh. They just blow it out which really does nothing. I had to just buy a new filter. They go for something like $55 at the dealer, though you could probably find it for cheaper somewhere else.

Mazda told you that they / you can't clean the mazdaspeed accessory cai air filter for an NA mazda 3 or the stock air filter for your mazdaspeed 3?

First off, Joe sells the filter for something like $35 taxes in, and second off, clean the filter out in a bucket of soapy water, rinse thoroughly and let dry for a day. I have done that cleaning method plenty of times.

Dry. Like I said, they wash up just fine in a bucket of soapy water.
