View Full Version : Signal Relay for LEDs
Trying to find out what the signal relay is for the Mazda3?
We can get LED-specific relays, that allow you to use LED turn signals, and not effect the flash rate or any bulb out warnings.
Does it look like this?

AFAIK, the Mazda3 doesn't use a flasher relay, meaning you can't swap one out to use with LED turn signals. I explored that option when I was looking into LED turns.

+1.
Signals are controlled by the body computer (PJB). No external relay.

But I think there are relays inside the PJB. Hmm...maybe I should crack one open an have a peek.:chuckle

I have my signals as leds...
just use the resistors that you can purchase on VLEDs (i think)...
they are very easy to install as they come with those little clip on splicers so you dont even have to cut any wires...
just be warned the LEDs are much harder to see during the day (mine are anyways)

you gave me resistors when i got my led signals a year ago, and they worked just fine.

resistors are only needed for LED turnsignals? what about LED hi beams/DRL (07+) and LED fogs?
No, just the signals.
Yeah the EQs we sell are fine. We can get replacement signal replays, that eliminates them, we can get them for the Protege, was just curious about the 3.
The new LEDs that are you there are WAY brighter than they use to be.
