Glove box lamp

Here's a stupid question....

Does the Canadian version of the mazdaspeed3 have a glove box lamp? I notice my car has what looks to be a lense for a lamp in the glove box but since i've owned the car (which hasnt been that long), i've never seen a lamp turn on in the glove box.

If there is one, how does it turn? automatically when the glove is open???

Mine turns on when 2 conditions are met.

1/ Lights are on
2/ Glove box is open

Basically the lights (parking lights or headlights) must be turned on for the light in the glove box to come on. :)

Thanks alot guys...turn out that my bulb was dead before i even got the car! Replaced it. All is good now....at least I found this out after only driving the car the for one month and not 5 yrs! Thanks again
