cost is about $37/bottle...if I were to use this oil, I'll change it religiously around 5000km...I will not use it for any of its qualities, but rather a cheap alternative for more frequent changes over summer.

Castrol Syntec is on sale at CT right now for $7.50/L
Stock up on it.
I know I am!

Try Esso XD3 if you want a cheap synthetic. Available in 0W30 and 0W40. You would be better off to get it from a distributor by the case since wally world overcharges for it. It gets good reviews on bobistheoilguy.com

x 2 ESSO XD3 is good oil - one thing its really thick the 0w30 is closer to being 40
Beside its PAO based....
Beside you can't tell to much from spec. of the oil how good it is ..
Castrol german is good oil to works well in some applications .
Normal Castrol Syntec is not that great ....
Mannheim is praised religiously by the VW guys. I was looking at it as an option myself.
