CSCS Team?

Ok guys and girls,
I am thinking of making a team to compete in the CSCS events. It seems logical to build a team in order to get leverage for sponsorship and such.

CSCS runs 3 events this year

May 31, Aug 31 and Oct 4

Basically I am looking to know who would be interested in competing.

CSCS does drag, show and shine, lapping and time attack. A team member can compete in any of the events. I will say that doing time attack/lapping will probably limit you to that category only. Drag can sometimes take 1h to go depending on the groups and attendance and show and shine means your car is parked all day long.

So what do you think? you want to make a team? this is not limited to only mazda's but to all cars. It's just a between friends activity, and spectators, photographers are more than welcome :)

there's usually a big crowd. And if I remember there wasnt that many mazda's last year. Speedbaby won it, so it can't be that hard :chuckle

Time attack Guys we will mostly do like last year. Pre-pay to me and I will pay the full amount to CSCS as a TEAM. Now if only we can get a team name....

I will need payment early next week. I will PM everyone with the EXTRA details on how this will work. May I remind everyone that the price At the track is way more expensive than pre-pay :)

Also still debating on buying a shelter tent and stick logo's on them for us :)

The long range forecast has isolated showers on Sunday. Let's hope it happens just in time for time attack. That way the stock ms3 wil have a chance against the rest a the 'stock' ms3's out there!:)

Congrats to Big Dad for another stellar win: 1 min 23 sec in Super Street FWD...with a MS3, no brakes.

For reference, with similar equipment, I did a 1.28...w/ brakes, fresh fluid! I might have to do a brake delete to keep up...

i didnt end up doing the show and shine b/c i didnt have time to fully detail my car put i dont think i could have beaten out some of the Proteges and RX7's for best mazda

according to the dealer, yes. This is the first time I've ever seen smoke like that, but it's also the 1st time I've ever dumped octane booster in. Don't know if that had everything to do with it.

-oh-wait-yes, turbo is gone -I was down on power -that must be the real reason I sucked in Time Attack:chuckle

actually, if anybody is listening - I borrowed your car - and mine was sitting in it's pristine condition in my garage at home!

lol...TR, 2007...yup...sounds like the recipe for a new turbo...I think your wife might beat on the car more than you do...you sure she's not drag racing your wagon?...hehe...

on another note...notice that I smoked a little too...these were the conditions:

TA was after lunch...the session before lunch was hot for everyone, but we have been sitting there for like an hr before TA (as drift is before TA)...so it might have been some oil pooling in the turbo before the lunch break...and after TA, no smoke for either one of us from the back...brakes were a different smoking issue all together...good times.

besides, maplephin finally popped the car's cherry, I see it as a good thing...but still, keep an eye out on that turbo...maybe it needs some Nicorette instead...lol...
