I am looking to purchase a K&N Short Ram Air intake system.
I have a 2008.5 Sport GT Hatch.
Anyone have one installed and would like to comment on it?
Does anyone know the K&N Part #?
I understand Canadian Tire can get them.
What is your experience with this kit?
Looking forward to hearing from any of you.
Thanks.

If it's the typhoon there appears to be 3 members that have it, maybe you can ask them?

I am one of those 3. I don't have the number, I bought it second hand from a member off this forum. My experience with it has been positive 100%. No CEL, nor issues with it. I have run the item in SRI (winter) and CAI (summer).
Quite the temperature difference, as read with my DashhawkII (IAT sensor). The filter location is easily accessed from the triangle piece infront of the drivers wheel, bottom side of the bumper.

So do you change it up depending on the season? You said both SRI and CAI.
Would I have to do that?

No you won't have to, I left it in CAI mode this past winter (procrastination is a hobbie) and felt no ill effects. If I recall, the engine did warm up alittle faster last winter.

I went with the Cosmo Racing SRI.
Easy install and great low end gains.
Very pleased!
I used the stock filter that came with the SRI but I will probably change to the K&N Filter after the winter.

The K&N is quite a popular Intake, specifically because it can be installed as either a CAI or SRI. I've sold about 5 or 6 over the past 2 years.
Let me know if you want pricing.

oh wow I didnt know it was that simple. I always overlooked that feature cuz I thought it was a lengthy process. I'm considering the K&N now, along with the Injen.
