Can you please recommend a reasonably priced wax product?

My car is about a month old. I have never waxed a car before.

Should I go with the expensive wax such as Meguiar's NXT Generation Wax at $30 or Mothers Pure Carnauba Liquid Wax at $22 or something less expensive such as Meguiar's Gold Liquid Wax at $15?

Do I have to buff it until it shine ot just apply the wax and wipe it off?

Buy the Turtle Wax Ice-Synthetic Liquid Wax for like $20, It's extremely easy to use and leaves an excellent shine. But the best part is you don't have to worry about getting any on the plastics as it works perfect on them too!! ....You might consider "Clay-barring " your vehicle also, since it is new...just Google it for tutorials on how it's done and why it's needed!...real easy to do too!!

Here's a nice write up for first timers:

EDITED: Xerox to Xenon :chuckle

Just to clarify the write up noted above is from Xenon and not Xerox. I used to get the two confused too then I remembered this.

Xenon cleans a mean car.
Xerox takes a mean picture.

Depending where you live, If you were interested in Klasse Sealer Glaze, I could sell you a small portion from my bottle.

Also have some Klasse All In One that I could sell. I'm sure others have some they may be willing to sell of other products (Natty's Blue, etc.) If anyone is interested in trading detailing products or stuff, shoot me a pm.

i vote for the turtle wax ice formula liquid wax, I used it and the results came out amazing, after using a clay bar though to remove all contaminents on the car from delivery.
Heres a pic of the results, cars only a month old aswell

Been through quite a number of waxes... (and i'm sure plenty of more to come)... so far I like Victoria's concours wax. Easy to put on, smells nice, seems durable... (similar to P21s). Nxt, last I remember stains trims.. so ya gotta becareful.

This is the stuff my dad and I use. We've started to use the Mother's Carnauba wax more though as it is better than the Turtle Wax Hardshell Wax. For the price though, the Hardshell wax is pretty good. I think the Hardshell Wax is $7 or $8 at Canadian Tire. The Carnauba wax is about $10-$15 at Canadian Tire (for a bigger bottle, not that tiny bottle in the picture).

I thought p21s is some sort of abbreviation until I googled it and it turned out to be a product line.

Consumer reports rating are http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/attachments/8thcivic-com-site-news/1496d1151270197-best-car-wax-market-consumer-reports-tested-them-page3.jpg

Hope you don't have to log in. It is interesting to note that NXT, which is highly regarded by some forum members was rated the 9th best with poor durability and above average scratching.
