Gymkhana? FWD? Really? How freaking slow and non stylish is that gonna look like?

SPDA is the Subaru guys right? One of the best clubs in Ontario. Time attack and lapping is all what FWD can do. Drag is no competition as we all know it's a fail for FWD vs RWD or AWD

i believe from what JoeT said is that the gymkhana will just be a more wide open autox... so less cones and more ability for the drivers to choose lines.... i doubt you'll be doing any of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHgjFPhhzY8

SPDA are good ppl...

but I agree, I don't plan on winning anything...but it'd be fun to do the TA @ DDT should be pretty sick...

also, I wonder what the "touge" definition is here...are we talking drift? ;) not my forte...

I thought you guys might like this. The SPDA are a great group of enthusiasts. I won't be running since I have no roll bar though.

It's in the budget next year.

Touge is lapping, but it's a head-to-head battle "initial-D style" with one car chasing the other. The name comes from the Best Motoring "touge battles".

There's no passing. If the front car increases the gap they win. If the rear car manages to decrease the lap then they win.

I know what the touge format is, but it's usually reserved for drifting nowadays, as opposed to a "chase thru a mountain pass"... and I was wondering if that's what they really meant without actually spelling out drifting...for various reasons.

yah was referring to the 27th

There are a few untimed practice runs in the morning with 1 timed run in the afternoon. It's different than a standard autox.

You can register for the whole series this Saturday (June 6th) or if you just want to run the gymkhana on the 27th you can just show up and register that day.

I think it is going to be more autox than gymkhana, so no crazy ebrake turns or reversing on course.

Event #2 is upon us. I hope to see lots of Mazdas out! I'll be running with my MX-5.

The day consists of lots of track time, lapping and a single "Holy Grail" run at the end of the day. Electronic timers in use, the same equipment used by CASC-OR Solosprint.

As one of the prizes of the day, the ATTS will be giving 1 solosprint event as a draw prize. In addition to that fantastic prize, Royal Purple will be giving away Whole Cases of Oil of your choice, plus Go Pro Camera's, Hawk Brakes. Plus you'll be earning points towards the remaining ATTS series which enables you to win part of the $12760.00 worth of prizes, including Toyo Tires.

Event 2 of the Toyo Tires / SPDA Attack Time Trial Series will be held at Mosport DDT. Simple Rules, Simple Classes, Lots of track time, Lots of fun!!!
