oops! sorry Jspeed, not me! not in drag, or at least I don't think I am! When I clicked on the link it took me to the one with fobio following me, very strange:bang CJ - enough with the turbo already, the dealer says there's nothing wrong with it!!

(hey, how'd did my real name get in the post from Fobio, he called me maplephin and in CJ's quote it listed the real name. anybody want my vin number & dealer name, too)

:chuckle

Nice run dude!! BIG PLUS on the flag!!

:bana FILI' FILI' FILIPINO!!!

Launching@3500 & shifting@5500rpm this car hits high to mid 13's depending on reaction times and that's on street rubber..im sure with slick's this car can hit 12's..but we'll see how it goes next event..

Nice...

Are you running any engine management device for your mods? (I noticed you're shifting at 5500, so I'm assuming stock ECU values?)

jspeed_3
06-05-2009, 05:46 PM
no engine management...

Great kill! I thought 335i would be faster than that...

jspeed_3

pretty sure it wasn't the cars fault. 335i's are quick

I believe the 335 driver has a very poor reaction time, that made the difference. The 335i caught back very close at the end of the run.

Very good run for the Speed3.

Do you not eat the tires launching at 3500? I launch at 2500 and i'm having traction issues, I was running 14.6 at 102mph. Thats stock, but with my mph I should be at least 14.1-14.0. I need some tips for the front part of the track, thats where I'm losing my time:bang

Fobio

you need engine mounts and maybe even traction bars to help you with traction @ launch...helps a lot with wheel-hop.

"this car hits high to mid 13's depending on reaction times "

Reaction times have nothing to do with ET's....that is a common misconception. Your time starts when you break the beam, not when the Green light comes on. You can sit at the line for 10 secs after the green comes on and still run a 13.XX

The only time that R/T's affect the outcome of a race is if you are bracket racing.

60 ft. times are what generally make or break your run....

My advise is to bring your launch RPM down as far as you can without causing it to bog off the line.

I used to launch my last car (Cav Z24) off idle, I would get better 60 ft times than guys who were launching at much higher RPMs = uneccessary abuse to your car.
