Just curious if anyone in the GTA is currently going to a martial arts school. Am looking to get back into it and back into (MUCH) better shape. I used to teach San Shou Kung Fu - looking for Muay Thai, San Shou, Jiu Jitsu or whatever.
Cheers...

i used to do ta-kwon-do back in the day. i made it to second dan black belt and was canadian champ in my division. i quit 5 years ago because there was no more competition for me. i would soo like to get back into a martial art but schooly and work take up too much of my time.

Where are you located??
I just joined a school two weeks ago and I LOVE it.
It's called Kombat Arts Training Academy.
It's in Mississauga, Tomken and Matheson area.

Joey is the owner and he's totally awesome.
Tell him the new guy Ray referred you!
I took my first Muay Thai class yesterday, and I've done a couple Kali classes.
They also teach BJJ, wrestling, gi and no gi grappling, boxing, tai chi, a whole bunch of stuff...
GREAT facility for training.

Thanks!
I'm in Toronto, but the KombatArts place sounds very cool! Kali is great - I did that for a couple of years too - just watch your knuckles!!! ;)
I will likely be going to a place in North York - Revolution Martial Arts - Muay Tai, BJJ, Krav Maga, etc.

cool!
I looked into Rev and it sounds really good but it's too far for me as i'm in Oakville.
maybe you can teach me some kali drills!
Speaking of san shou, you gonna check out the national Wushu/San Shou Championships in October? They're holding it at the Ex!

I may go if I can, I met a couple of people competing at the Championships at the autoshow or something. I was supposed to compete a LONG time ago when the competiton was in Beijing I believe - aside from getting my ass whooped, I couldn't arrange my schedule to participate :( (the style I used to teach was the military version of San Shou)
