I pay $180/month on my bike, $80 when I turn 25 this year. I have a slightly modified 2000 Honda VTR1000.

I have a m2 licence, but only ride my parents bikes right now. I'm hoping to get my own in the next year or so.

Dad's bikes:

2006 Victory 8-ball 1700 - modded and tuned to 102hp
2004 BMW k1200GT - 0-100km/h in 3.1 seconds - and that in first gear :P

Mom's:

2009 Triumph StreetTriple R 675 - this bike scares the crap outta me... its ridiculous how fast it is!

I want to get a 600 sport bike, either a gsx-r 600, cbr 600, or R6. I'm not sure what, so if anyone has some insight, I'd love to hear it.

The Humber, Centennial ,and Georgian college courses are worth their weight in gold. Not only does it teach you a lot of stuff about the bikes and the road. You end up with your M2 at the end of the course!

A colleague of mine at work recommended RTI (Riders Training Institute). They got a few locations. Comes up to $400 tax in. I'm thinking of going for the course around last week of August.

Yeah I was gonna go with Centennial too til the dad found out about my plans... now it's all down the drain. Now I've got all sorts of biking gear that's collecting dust. I was thinking of putting them up for sale but I'm stuck in the past and I don't wanna let them go...

Go for RTI... cheaper !

:bana2RTI!

I just did my M1/M2 Course with them 2 weekend ago...

2 Location..."Closer" were Toronto (By the Docks) or North York (Fairview
mall)

The total was 393.xx it was the cheapest out of all the other schools...They had a wide range of different bikes...CBR125/Cruisers/Dirt Bikes...

They also have FREE re-test if you fail their course the first time...(If you fail the first time...I REALLY DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD BE RIDING A BIKE ***SORRY***!!!!)

The class was a little boring...but the material is pretty damn DRY!

The classes were more fun :)

As for insurance...it really depends on your Age/Location/ (Probably 0 riding Experience)

I'm turning 24/Markham/ Riding for the first time...On a Ninja 250...I got a quote for like $1,600 ALL IN...

Or go check out gtamotorcycle.com good bunch of people...very helpful

Wow, they had a CBR125 !?!

And yes, gtamotorcycle.com is a good place to learn about motorcycle riding stuff. But I found a lot of people there are very rude. They made it seem like if you didnt go out to meets, then there's basically no point in you being in there. So I stopped logging on... that, plus the fact that I had scrapped my M license idea... there's really no point in me logging onto the site hahaha

Yah most of the courses are around the same price. http://www.georgianc.on.ca/continuing-education/areas-of-interest/motorcycle-training/#327

Georgian College has one for $399 and its a two day course...highly recommened. Myself and 4 other people I know all it at some point in time over the last few years.
