Phil I've had nike replace shoes for me in the past. Mind you this was probably about 10 years ago. You'll have to call customer service.

Hey Phil.
I was in contact with Nike a few months back about my Shox. The tongue was tearing away from the side and I only had them 2 months and only used indoors at the gym.
They do replace shoes in Canada, but you have to pay to ship them to the U.S. and it could take 4 to 6 months for them to decide if a new pair is warranted.
If not, they send them back C.O.D.!
Contact Nike online.

I changed up shoes this past summer.. I called Nike Canada.. they ask yout o courrier the shoes into their depot or whatever ( which is in scarborough i think)
I believe you ahve to send in the receipt as well. Got my pair switched in no time..
Policy may have changed since then...
Good luck

i'm a big fan of nike shoes....i have many many pairs of nikes over the past few years...
again, some can withstand my "beating" and some are defects after a few months...
i have bought shoes locally, and shoes over the US, as long as it's w/in 2 years
(according to the tongue of the shoe) u can send it back to nike CANADA and have them
inspect for defect and then have it warranty.
as of right now, i've send over 6 pairs of shoes over the past few years,
and i've gotten them all warrantied.....however, they have never sent me
the same pair i sent in. it's alwayz the newer generation of the ones i sent in
(and u might not be able to find them in local nike/footlocker/athletes world)
for example, i sent in a 2008 360 air, they would sent me back a 2009 360 air.
another thing that i would like to note:
if the pair they sent back to u and u don't like u could request them to
send u a "$$$ voucher" that can be used only @ NIKE TORONTO @ bloor.
but u'll have too pay shippin' and send it back to NIKE CANADA, and NO,
eventhough u live in Scarborough, u cannot drop it off @ their brimely location.
U MUST SEND THEM THRU MAIL PARCEL
they don't encourage sending out vouchers, dependin' how lucky u are.
i now have a voucher for $214.68, that i need to use w/in 90days, and
this voucher is not transferable, as it's on my name only!

PS i alwayz get my shoe warrantied and replace and sent back to me within 3 weeks! awesome customer service!
