Another MOT 3 from Jeff

After all the reviews and a few test drives, we chose a beautiful smiling Sport GT; the first Mazda we've owned.

After going back and forth with several dealers, nobody was willing to beat Jeff's price on a 2010 GT Sport with moon roof. Everybody was willing to match it, but nobody would beat it. Despite not having our specific model in stock, we gave Jeff the business because it was his price and he got there without having to run to senior staff for "approvals" and play the usual games.

Waiting to take delivery this week! Fingers crossed all goes well!

So now we're waiting for our car coming in from Vancouver on rail. :bang Apparently our exact model and colour is coming in on a train so we've got 10-12 days to wait until we can zoom-zoom.
:pop Probably the longest 12 days ever. Waiting has to be the worst!

Getting so close now! If Jeff's dates are correct, it should be arriving by rail on Friday and he said he'll go pick it up for us as soon as it arrives which means we can hopefully pick it up on Saturday.
I hope all goes well, because I'm car-less starting Monday, and I'll have a tough time getting to work without one!

Thanks S.F.W for the meetup tonight. The plate covers look really nice. Where did you guys get them made up (if you're reading this)?

Finally picked it up yesterday. Really liking it! Took it our for a nice rainy drive today.

Love the Bluetooth integration. I've never had this feature before, but probably will never go without it again. So convenient!

Got the door visors added and really pleased with them. Flying along today with no rain getting in and no wind noise!

I'm a little surprised by how much noise you get from the wheel wells when hitting even just a shallow patch of standing water on the road. The usual strip of water on the road where the treads run causes a lot of noise. I'll need to look into something to deaden this a bit.

Other than that, it's perfect!

Got it tinted on Monday up at Audio Heaven in Thornhill... Went with 35 and don't regret it.

Thanks Jeff and Pablo! I haven't rolled down the windows yet, but that orange sticker across the switches has stopped me a couple times.

Originally was going to go darker, but with the black interior it's nearly impossible to see into the cabin with the 35. Pics shortly...

I really wanted the tinting just to cut down on the heat of the sun and obscure anything stuff sitting on the seats/foot well. Mission accomplished!

Next mod might be to replace the stock fogs or change the CAI to something that sounds mean.

I don't know about fogs... but I'm almost sure NextMod carries CAI if that is going to be your Next Mod... :chuckle

I love that colour, I'm thinking of that exact car to replace my 2006 Mazda6 GT when the lease is up.
