timing belt

My 3 is getting close to 100,000km, do i need to change the timing belt? Does the 3 run on belt or chain? and how much will it cost for the service. Your help is highly appreciated.

the 3 runs on a timing chain..it will last the life of the engine..if not longer.

all years of the 3's use chain? so that means no need to change right? how about the other belts except for the seat belt :chuckle

well the serpentine belt will need to be changed obviously lol..im sure you know when
