Hey Guys I recentally participaed in my first Marathon this year, I ran the 10K @ the Mississauga Marathon. I had the Time of my life it was such an energy rush and a great Run.

Im planning on continuing running marathons and im planning on running the 20K Toronto Marathon in september. I was just gauging to see if they are any marathon runnner or avid cyclists on the forum. Any one on the forum run any marathons? Maybe we can have a TM3 list for a group or team of runner for a Marathon coming up?

any Feedback on the idea?

How did you do in the 10K? A few yrs ago I ran the Nike 10K on the Island. I took a huge spill and messed up my knees but still finished about 51min...I knew if I trained harder and didn't fall, I could break 45min...

BTW, a "Marathon" isn't just a long run...it's an actual defined length based on an historical feat....and it's about 42km.

It was my first 10k run i finished 54:14, and yes you are correct a marathon is 42km and hopefully one day i can accomplish that amazing feat. I had to make 2 washroom pit stops @ my run haha :chuckle, im excited for the Toronto Marathon, Do you have any future run plans? 51 minutes is really impressive, im hoping to get around the 45-50 minute mark next time around

If my legs hold out I'm in for a CT Tower team.

The CN Tower idea seems awsome, that was actually my goal for the summer to climb the CN tower stairs. il set Up a list

Interest for TM3 CN Tower climb
1. RallyPlaya
2. Fobio
3. KenYork
4.
5.

We could even come up with a charity to donate money for the cause, should i make a new thread for this, Iam fully commited to the idea

I'm committed to this too. My first climb was in 2007, last year I had a leg injury, this year I plan to do the climb again. If we have a club team, I'll skip the team from work.

What Do you guys think about doing this

its for the united way and its in October kinda far though

I Think if we get a good amount of people we can set up our own little one from the CN Tower @ whichever date we choose, individually if you want to just climb the stairs it is 50$

I've done the CN tower time. It's actually pretty depressing. Lol I did it alone and in 18 flat.

I did a 5k with my gf once too the santa shuffle. I actually don't care much for running but am easily convinced into doing things.
