I've been doing some google searches for some aftermarket performance brands and none of which have any parts available for the 2010 hatches (2.5l engine).

I'm looking for intake, perferably a shortram, do not want to risk hydrolocking.

Maybe some parts made for previous models of 3 will work. any ideas, thanks.

I dont think theres any parts available for the 2010s. Thats the only downside to getting a brand new car that just came out with a new style. Wait a couple more months first. Perhaps get aftermarket axleback exhaust. You would need 2 since u have dual

ya, thats what I thought, hope these vendors step up their game and start rolling out some parts soon.

I was thinking though, how specific do the parts have to be, like for instance, a short ram intake system, how technical do the specs of the part, as with size, air flow etc. I know there's gotta be room for the install but technically so compatible are the ones that are made specifically for them.

The PRM intake was been confirmed to fit the 2.5.

what make is best, or are they all the same? I like the PRM's look.

I was told that the PRM CIA gives a check engine light, what possibly is wrong?

Well it is not for our car specifically, and the intake sensor is horribly sensitive.

Corksport is pretty close to having something ready for production.

Actually, the PRM CAI now works. At first I was getting CEL's. How I fixed it.

I put the OEM air box back in. Drove the car for a day and the CEL cleared by itself. I then put the PRM back in and started the car and let it idle for 5 min. Since then I have not gotten a CEL. It's been almost a week now, where as before the CEL would come on as soon as I started to drive. The main thing is to let the car idle so it can adjust to the new CAI.

On Monday I'm going to let Gerry from PRM know that the CEL has been overcome and he should then be able to make up new CAI's for the 2010's.

BTW, I highly recommend getting one. You wont be disappointed.

Hi,

No problem. Due to the fact that my 2010 was the first he saw I got a special price for the prototype. If you get a group buy together I believe he'll sell them for $200. But his usual price I believe is $240. But don't quote me on anything. LOL. You can contact him, he's a great guy to deal with. Just look up PRM in the search area.

BTW, just wait till next week. I'm test driving my car with the PRM till Monday before I give my final assessment to Gerry. As long as I don't get a CEL over the weekend it's all good.

i dont see why the old ones shouldnt fit as far as i know the old camber links, sway bars, lowering springs are all transferrable from what i hear. I have the rear camber links but have yet had the time to instal them

That's messed up. So you let the car idle for 5 minutes everytime you start the car ?

No. LOL. Just after it's installed. After that it's business as usual.

Yes the old one fits. I used one for a while. But the 2.5L does have a larger intake. If you want to benefit a bit more from the bigger diameter then you can wait for the new ones to be made up, or you can go with the smaller one for the 2.3L. Honestly after using both I think the bigger one is the way to go. But if you can't wait by all means have at it!!

I can't wait to put this mod on, lol right now I'm only at 300kms, gonna wait till my break in period is over for that stuff. I really appreciate the info guys, looking forward to it. Thanks.

I do not beleive in break in periods. There is a whole misconception of it. Just drive the car its meant to be driven and there will be less problems in the end. My car had about 75km on it when it got tinted and 155km on it when when it got lowered and rims put on it lol. I love modding my cars its so addicting and it never stops lol

U were seeing things, lol.i dont have independant fogs, i have to work on that. But ya i drive a black 2010 hatch.

I have already looked in to the wiring for the 2010 and so far they look somewhat different from the old ones. I will have to wait until they release the wiring diagrams on cd. I have spoken with the dealer and from what i have been told the wiring diagrams willnot be available to the public. I am sure there will be a knock off eventually but until then i dont want to tamper much with it. To much warranty on the car to start hacking it up

totally agree with ya man, don't wanna mess with the warranty too much. I definitely look forward to doing that mod later on.
