Hi,

While washing my car I noticed that there were brown flecks of something on the front fender and on the head light lens. Not noticeable until you are down and up close, but there are so many now that I look. I am pretty sure it is spray paint because it is on the light housing as well. Maybe someone was painting something and I got a dusting.

I searched and didn't find any way to remove the paint.

I tried to clay a small area, but didn't seem to get anywhere.

I understand rubbing alcohol (IPA) is okay to use on paint?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

A clay bar should work just fine

try a mild rubbing compound, the abrasiveness of it should wisk it away from your paint...try meguiars plastx for the headlight to remove that

I can also use the clay on the headlight right?

Do you go back and forth over the spot until it goes away (always ensuring it is well lubricated of course)?

Would the rubbing compound affect the clear coat such that I would have to polish or something?
